Free for founding stores, and yours to keep

What you get

One plan, called Founding. It is not a trimmed-down tier and it is not a trial — it is the whole product:

• Unlimited return rules, plus the AI policy assistant that drafts them
• Return-abuse detection, keep-it and returnless refund offers
• Manager approvals, advanced analytics and audit-log exports
• Portal and emails in eight languages, your branding, no Return Wise footer
• Unlimited returns — nothing pauses, nothing meters

No monthly fee. No per-return fee. No credit card, no contract, and nothing to approve on Shopify’s billing screen, because there is no subscription to approve.

The promise

We will introduce paid plans later. When we do, they apply to stores that install after that point. If you are a founding store, nothing changes: you are not migrated, not asked to approve a charge, and not billed. You do not need to do anything to keep it.

The plan is tied to your installation, so it lasts for as long as Return Wise stays installed on your store. If you uninstall, your store’s data — including the record of the Founding plan — is deleted under our retention schedule, and installing again later starts a new relationship on whatever plan is current then. If you are thinking about uninstalling and might come back, email us before you uninstall — once the data is deleted the plan cannot be restored.

Why we are doing this

Return Wise is new, and built by a small independent team rather than a funded company with a sales org. The stores that install early take a real risk on us, and they are the ones whose feedback shapes what gets built next. Making it free for them is the straightforward way to be worth that risk — and letting them keep it is the difference between an offer and a bait-and-switch.

The fine print, such as it is

Return Wise isn’t available everywhere yet. Stores billing in Brazil, the EEA, the UK or Switzerland can’t install it at the moment, founding window or not — we’d rather say so here than let you find out at the install screen.

The Founding plan is meant for genuine use of the app by your store. If usage is automated or abusive, or otherwise well outside normal merchant use of returns, we may apply reasonable limits or withdraw the plan — and we will tell you before we do. The full terms are in section 8.6 of our Terms of Service.

The plan attaches the first time you open the app, and Shopify sends you straight in after installing, so installing and opening are normally the same moment. If you installed during the window but could not open the app until after it closed, email support@returnwise.app and we will apply the plan.
