A Shopify returns app that's actually affordable

Simple, published pricing

That's the whole table. There is one plan, it costs nothing, and it carries the entire app: the self-serve shopper portal, automated return rules, store credit with an optional bonus, exchanges, return labels and carrier tracking, return-abuse detection, approvals and staff roles, and the analytics. Nothing is held back behind an upgrade, and nothing is metered — a busy month processes as many returns as it needs to, at the same price as a quiet one.

Paid plans will return later, for new installs. Stores on the Founding plan aren't moved onto them and aren't asked to pay: the plan you install on is the plan you keep, for as long as the app stays installed. There's no trial to run out — there's nothing to trial, it's free — no card on file, and no contract.

Same numbers, worked through. The Founding plan has no allowance and no per-return meter, so the answer doesn't change as monthly returns grow:

There are no switch points to plan around and no cliff to watch for: $0 a month at 5 returns, $0 a month at 500, and $0 at everything in between. New returns are never paused for hitting a limit, because there isn't one, and nothing here bills at all.

Why the app is free right now

Most small stores don't get enough returns to justify a four-figure annual contract, and a returns app you can't afford to run is one your shoppers never see. Return Wise is young, and the most useful thing we can do with it now is get it running in real stores — so during the founding window the whole app is free, and the merchants who take it on early keep it that way rather than being converted into a bill later. Where the app stops

Cheap only counts if you know what you're not getting, and free doesn't change that. These are product limits rather than plan limits now — the Founding plan carries every feature, so there is no upgrade that removes any of them:

• No feature tiers — advanced rule conditions, abuse thresholds and blocking, automatic label offers, keep-it and returnless offers, shop-the-store exchanges, manager approvals and staff roles, AI return-reason insights, AI photo evaluation, audit CSV exports, and advanced analytics are all included, along with the shopper portal in every supported language.
• No in-person drop-off network — returns travel by carrier, as mail-back or box-free QR drop-off. There's no drop-off counter network.
• No public API — there's no returns API, no POS or warranty module, and no Shopify Flow or Gorgias connector. Signed outbound webhooks are included, and you can wire those into your own tools yourself.
• No bulk actions — returns are reviewed and actioned one at a time from the queue, not in batches.

No surprises

• No contract. Nothing to sign and no minimum term — uninstall whenever you like.
