Return Wise stores only the order, customer, and return data required to operate the app — nothing is shared with third parties for advertising or analytics. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, hosted in managed PostgreSQL, and auto-purged based on the retention window you configure. We fully support Shopify's GDPR compliance webhooks for data export and deletion requests.
We request only the scopes needed to manage returns: read and write access to orders and customers, read access to products, permission to issue bonus store credit transactions, and app proxy permission so we can host the customer-facing return portal on your storefront.
